Fighter jets to zoom over Oregon for Memorial Day; here’s where and when

Oregon’s U.S. Air Force F-15EX Eagles will add some oomph to Memorial Day with flyovers over some community ceremonies, MemorialDayOregon.com says.
This year, Memorial Day Oregon says, will feature the new F-15EX Eagles. The two-person fighter jets can hit Mach 2.5, their builder, Boeing, says. They can fly as high as 50,000 feet and carry a payload of 29,500 pounds.
“Drawing on a legacy of air dominance, it features digital fly‑by‑wire controls, an all‑glass cockpit, modern mission systems and software, open mission systems architecture and the ability to carry hypersonic weapons,” Boeing says on its website.
According to The National Interest, an online publication about defense issues, each jet costs about $97 million.
