Dorset driver wins £45,000 Ford Mustang in competition he didn’t know he’d entered

Oscar Keats scooped a Ford Mustang Bullitt courtesy of online competition firm BOTB after being automatically entered through his BOTB Pass membership.
The self-confessed petrolhead was at home when BOTB presenter Christian Williams arrived to surprise him with the news, with Oscar’s dad secretly in on the reveal from the beginning.
Before even seeing the car, Oscar admitted the shock of the moment had already got to him.
“I feel like I’m going to pass out,” the 25-year-old said.
Christian then invited Oscar to follow him outside and around the corner where the stunning Ford Mustang Bullitt was parked up waiting for him.
The car blends classic American muscle car styling with modernised, track-focused performance and is inspired by the iconic car driven by Steve McQueen in the legendary film Bullitt.
The moment Oscar laid eyes on the car, he was left completely stunned.
“I don’t know what to say. I’m speechless,” he said. “I feel like I’m dreaming.
“You never really think you’re going to win. I don’t think my mates are going to believe it.”
Oscar said he had no idea he’d even been entered into the competition. As a BOTB Pass member, he is automatically entered into selected competitions every month.
Oscar was invited to sit inside the Mustang and fire up the engine while Christian talked him through some of its standout features.
“It’s lovely,” Oscar said as the V8 engine roared into life.
“It’s a proper American muscle car, and you can’t really beat it.”
Oscar also revealed he regularly visits Germany’s famous Nürburgring race circuit every year and admitted he is tempted to take his new Mustang there for a spin.
Christian said: “A huge congratulations to Oscar for winning this amazing prize.
“The best part was that he genuinely had no idea he’d even entered for this car because of his BOTB Pass membership.
“The Mustang Bullitt is an incredible machine. It’s got that classic muscle car presence and sound, but with modern performance and technology too.”
BOTB hands over the keys to a dream car each week, while also offering players the option of a cash alternative and a range of lifestyle prizes.
It is also currently offering people the chance to win a luxury four-bedroom home in South London worth £1.3m in a competition costing just £1.
Founded in 1999, BOTB has given away prizes to over 585,000 people, including £154m-worth of cars so far.
