A huge three-day music festival that was set to come to Plymouth in a matter of weeks has been postponed.
Discovery Festival Plymouth 2026 was set to bring huge acts to the city for three days of music at Central Park, but the event has been pushed back to next year.
An email sent to ticket holders, seen by PlymouthLive, read: “It is with a great disappointment that we must announce the postponement of Discovery Festival, Plymouth 2026.
“Over the last few weeks, we have been working with our partners to explore all possible options. However, having exhausted all alternatives, we have reached the very difficult decision to postpone the festival until 11th – 13th June 2027.
“Refunds will be made available. However, all tickets purchased for the festival remain valid for the confirmed 2027 festival weekend and by retaining your ticket, all current ticket holders will also be offered access to an additional complimentary ticket for another day at the festival, as a thank you for your continued loyalty and support.
“The full 2027 line up will be announced shortly.
“This has not been an easy decision for anyone involved. We know how much the festival means to you, our audience, artists, partners and the wider community and we sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding and continued support shown throughout this process.
“Please contact your point of purchase to claim your free additional ticket offer. Team Discovery.”
The Discovery Festival website, checked by PlymouthLive this morning at 6am (Thursday, May 28), showed no indication that the festival had been postponed and still listed the full weekend line-up.
However, the Plymouth page on the website now has the previous line-up removed, and it now says “line-up TBC” for all three days.
The about section has also been updated, and while the location remains the same, Central Park, the dates are now 11-13 June 2027.
People who bought tickets for the 2026 event have been told their 2026 tickets can be rolled over to next year, and they will be offered an extra complimentary ticket if they retain them for 2027.
Discovery Festival Plymouth 2026 was due to have performances from The Libertines, Five, OMD, and many more over the three-day event, but organisers have pulled the event and are reportedly planning a whole new line-up.
It added, “the full 2027 line-up will be announced shortly”.
Discovery Festival has been contacted by PlymouthLive for comment but it has not responded.
