A Huddersfield village pub is facing an uncertain future after its sudden closure.
The Foresters Arms at Lower Cumberworth is currently closed and a new tenant is being sought by pub operator, Stonegate Group. A sign in a window at the pub states: “Due to unforeseen circumstances The Foresters Arms has closed with immediate effect.
“We would like to thank all of our customers for their support during over the last two and a half years. We are so sorry it has had to come to an end. Thank you.”

Yorkshire Live approached Stonegate Group for an update on the pub’s future. In response, a spokesperson said: “The Foresters Arms is currently temporarily closed while we search for a new publican to take on the pub.
“We are working to reopen the pub as soon as possible and look forward to welcoming customers back in the near future.”
