The Nebraska Cornhuskers (43-15) will play Ole Miss on Saturday night on day two of the Lincoln Regional. The Huskers defeated South Dakota State (24-32) on Friday afternoon, while Ole Miss (37-22) beat Arizona State (37-20) later that night in 14 innings.
This is Nebraska’s 20th regional appearance all-time and fourth under coach Will Bolt. The Huskers have advanced to the regional final six times and qualified for the super regional four times (2000, 2001, 2002, 2005).
The winner of the Lincoln Regional will play the winner of the Auburn Regional. That regional consists of Auburn, UCF, NC State and Milwaukee.
With a victory on Saturday night, Nebraska would advance to the Regional Championship game on Sunday night. A loss and the Huskers will play an elimination game on Sunday afternoon.
