Love Island began its new season by mentioning the famous celebrity couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Narrator Iain Stirling name-dropped Taylor and Travis, alongside the renowned royal couple, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, during the opening minutes of the new season.

The new season of Love Island kicked off with a whole new group of singles ready to find love. The eighth season of Love Island USA began with Ariana Madix returning as host. Within the opening minutes of the series, narrator Iain Stirling name-dropped two celebrity couples that the entire world is familiar with.
After the musical intro, which featured islanders performing choreography and lip-syncing to Say You Do by Sigala featuring Imani Williams & DJ Fresh, Stirling welcomed the fans to the new season.
“Welcome to Love Island USA season eight. Eight years, can you believe it?” the narrator said, addressing the fans. “When we started, Taylor hadn’t met Travis, Harry and Meghan were still royals, and I was only 18. Don’t Google that,” he joked.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who are reportedly preparing to tie the knot very soon, remain one of the most famous couples in the world. There has been an immense buzz around their wedding, with fans paying close attention to everything from the guest list to the wedding cake.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also been an immensely popular couple for years now.
The latest season of Love Island features 11 contestants instead of 12 after the show decided to remove Vasana Montgomery from the list. Vasana was removed after her videos saying the N-word surfaced online.
The first islanders include Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Bryce Alakai Dettloff, Gabriel Vasconcelos, KC Chandler, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sean Reifel, Sincere Rhea, Trinity Tatum, and Zach Georgiou.
New episodes of Love Island USA air on Thursday at 9 PM on Peacock.
