I know Jacob Elordi dropped out of the Cannes Film Festival jury earlier this month because he had a broken foot. I’m simply also observing that Elordi has seemingly spent the time he would have been at Cannes vacationing with Kendall Jenner, his rumored girlfriend, and going on double dates with her sister.
On Sunday, TMZ published a grainy photo of Elordi and Jenner on a “little date” in Hawaii, which the tabloid says was taken the previous weekend (i.e., the first weekend of Cannes). The pic shows the (maybe) couple enjoying the beach and drinking what looks like rosé straight from the bottle, which is pure romance in my book. The same day, Deuxmoi posted pictures taken Saturday night of Elordi and Jenner in the front seat of a car in Los Angeles with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet in the back seat, alongside their friend Renell Medrano. So instead of watching Paper Tiger in France, it looks like Elordi was on some sort of double date with the Jenners. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
The rumors about Elordi and Kendall have been active since Coachella, when they were reportedly seen “all over each other” at Justin Bieber’s after-party. Kylie is rumored to have set up the pair after she and Chalamet repeatedly ran into Elordi on last year’s awards-season circuit, so them going on a double date would make sense. I will say, neutrally, that Elordi’s foot does not seem to be bothering him much at the moment.
Maybe if he has more free time in the fall, Elordi can join a TIFF panel to make up for missing Cannes. Either that or he’ll suddenly come down with a stomach flu (going to St. Barts with his girlfriend).
