Golden Knights defenseman takes puck to the face, leaves Game 2

RALEIGH, N.C. — There are few, if any places, anyone should ever want to take a puck. The face might be tops on the list.

Vegas Golden Knights defenesman Brayden McNabb left midway through the first period after taking a puck under his face shield and on the bridge of the nose.

McNabb immediately skated down the tunnel with his glove over his mouth.

The Knights’ iron man is one of the toughest, most durable players. He appeared in 298 consecutive regular season games before an upper-body injury in January forced him to miss time.

Safe to assume that whenever McNabb does return, he’ll be rocking a face cage for the rest of the playoffs.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
