Man killed in double stabbing ‘was remarkable’

A man killed in a double stabbing in east London had a “beautiful spirit and remarkable talent”, his family has said.

Mark Orabiyi, 35, died when he arrived at hospital after being found fatally injured in the garden of a property in Silvertown on Friday morning. Another man was also found with stab wounds.

In a tribute, Orabiyi’s family said: “Mark was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He brought love, light and joy to our family and to all who knew him.”

Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder. The Met Police said a 27-year-old man had been released on bail pending further inquiries, while a man, aged 24, and a 25-year-old woman were released with no further action.
