Update #1: As of 7:06 p.m., BC Hydro spokesperson Kevin Aquino says crews are currently en route.
“We’ve received reports of branches/trees coming into contact with power lines due to the wind. Once our crews arrive, they’ll be able to determine how long repairs will take and restoration times,” Aquino told Fraser Valley Today in an email.

CHILLIWACK/CULTUS LAKE/CHILLIWACK RIVER VALLEY – Over 2,700 BC Hydro customers in parts of Yarrow, Cultus Lake, Chilliwack and much of the Chilliwack River Valley lost power Tuesday afternoon just after 5 p.m.
