Player Contracts: Four players to depart | News | Official Site

The list of Chelsea players who have been retained or released by the club at the end of the 2025/26 season have been confirmed.
Four players will depart Chelsea when their current contracts expire on 30 June.
Defender Brodi Hughes leaves the Blues after 13 years in our Academy. The versatile defender joined as an Under-8 and moved through the ranks at Cobham. He spent the previous campaign on loan at League One club AFC Wimbledon.
Richard Olise also moves on after a decade with the club. Signed by Chelsea as an Under-9, Olise featured throughout the age groups in our Academy and was named in the first-team squad for our UEFA Conference League trip to Astana during the 2024/25 season.
Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi, who has made four first-team appearances, will also depart the Blues this summer. Joining our Academy as an eight-year-old, Rak-Sakyi moved through the Academy ranks at Cobham while also featuring for England at youth level.
During the 2024/25 campaign, Rak-Sakyi made his debut in the UEFA Conference League against Noah and featured on three more occasions in the competition.
Our final departure is Jimi Tauriainen. Joining Chelsea in 2020, the Finnish youth international was named among the first-team substitutes for our Carabao Cup final against Liverpool in 2024.
In our next game, an FA Cup fifth-round tie versus Leeds United, he made his first-team debut. A Premier League debut followed later in that season, when he was brought on against Tottenham Hotspur.
Striker Ronnie Stutter will, meanwhile, move to a month-to-month contract with the Blues.
We thank all our departing players for their contributions during their time with the Blues and wish them well for the next chapter in their careers.
