Was De’Aaron Fox Fouled by OG Anunoby? NBA Fans Sound Off on Viral Photo from Knicks’ Win vs. Spurs

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby was the hero on both ends during his team’s thrilling 107-106 comeback victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday evening.

His tip-in with 1.2 seconds left ultimately won the game, but Anunoby also blocked San Antonio Spurs point guard De’Aaron Fox’s fast-break layup attempt on San Antonio’s previous possession to set up New York’s final scoring chance.

After the game, some fans and analysts wondered if Anunoby had fouled Fox, which would have led to a pair of free throws giving the Spurs a chance to go up 108-105 with roughly 12 seconds left.

However, there were some retorts. A closer look reveals Anunoby may have touched the ball before hitting Fox’s forearm.

The NBA’s Last Two-Minute Report will ultimately reveal whether a foul should have been called (those are typically released the day after the game).

At any rate, none was called, Anunoby got it done, and then the Knicks’ defense held on the Spurs’ last possession for the one-point win.

New York is now one win away from their first NBA title since 1973. Game 5 is set for Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET in San Antonio.
