Colchester United will begin the 2026/27 Sky Bet League Two campaign with a trip to Accrington Stanley.
In the fixture list released on Friday lunchtime, the U”s were pitched against the Lancashire side for the opener on Saturday 15th August, followed by Oldham Athletic visiting the JobServe Community Stadium for the first home game of the season.
Competitive action for the U’s starts before these two matches though, with the First Round of the Carabao Cup taking place on the weekend of August 7th/9th.
The U’s will know their opponents this afternoon, with former U’s star Luke Chambers and Kevin Nolan conducting the draw.
And after successive away games at Port Vale and York City, Grimsby Town will be the visitors to north Essex on the final day on May 8th.
Once again the U’s will be away on Boxing Day, travelling to North London to take on Barnet – with the home matches over the Festive Period coming against Crawley and Rotherham.
The reverse tie against Barnet here at the JCS comes on Easter Monday, three days after the Good Friday trip to Rotherham.
