End of an era? Stacey Solomon ‘to leave forever home Pickle Cottage’

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are reportedly seeking a fresh start, with plans to leave Pickle Cottage.

The couple, who have been together for a decade, are believed to have purchased Pickle Cottage in 2021 for £1.3million (€1.5million). At the time, the Loose Women panelist dubbed it their ‘forever home’.

Stacey and Joe have worked tirelessly over the past five years, turning the house into a home through renovations and various craft projects.

During their time in the property, Stacey and Joe have watched her boys, Zachary and Leighton, grow into young men, their son, Rex, grow up, and raised their daughters, Rose and Belle.

But now, it could be the end of an era, as the couple are apparently looking to hand over the keys to their fabulous Essex property.

It’s understood the couple has outgrown the space, which boasts five bedrooms. Five children live under their roof, with Joe’s son, Harry, often staying for visits, even though he primarily lives with his mum, Emma Sophocleous.

Per The Sun, Joe and Stacey have set their sights on another Essex property that they think will be ideal.

It’s an eight-bedroom Victorian mansion, believed to have a price tag of almost double that of Pickle Cottage’s.

A source told the publication that the home is set on a sprawling plot of over three acres and comes with a pool and a lake.

The property serves as an opportunity for the blended family to make ‘new memories’, and also poses a new challenge for Stacey, who has made a name for herself with her fabulous DIY work.

‘They viewed the house and fell in love with it. It’s got extra space for the kids,’ the source said. ‘Pickle Cottage only has five bedrooms. They have six children, and then they need a room for themselves.

‘It gives Stacey a chance to do more of her amazing DIY work as well. She has a great eye for interiors.

‘This house needs a bit of love and work to make it the absolute dream home where they can make new memories.’

Stacey and Joe will undoubtedly have lasting memories from their time in Pickle Cottage, from welcoming Rose and Belle to the world to their first steps, to Zachary’s prom, and, of course, it served as the backdrop of their wedding in 2022.

The news comes after Stacey was forced to address rumours about her marriage, after she admitted her relationship was anything but a ‘bed of roses’.

The couple remains legally unmarried, despite their fairytale wedding at Pickle Cottage in 2022.
