Toronto Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins is set to meet the media on Monday night to discuss a busy trade deadline for his team.
The Blue Jays acquired starting pitchers José Soriano, Spencer Arrighetti and Jameson Taillon, utilityman Josh Smith, and a large pool of prospects before the deadline, but moved out Kevin Gausman, Daulton Varsho, Jeff Hoffman and Adam Macko.
On top of the trades, the Blue Jays opted to retain veterans Shane Bieber, Max Scherzer and George Springer despite all three being on expiring contracts.
