The corrupt mayor of Toronto Chadwick Vaughan (Mark Caven) made good on his threat to “clean up” Station House 4. He placed a padlock on the door and declared the station and its staff redundant leaving Detective Murdoch standing in the street to ponder his future.

Murdoch and his colleagues had been investigating a series of crimes by an Irish gang from Montreal and their connections to Mayor Vaughan’s criminal activities.
