Panthers make decision on WR Jalen Coker’s game status for Week 6 matchup vs. Cowboys

Carolina Panthers wideout Jalen Coker will need to use up more of his 21-day practice window.
As announced on Saturday, the team ruled Coker out from tomorrow’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The second-year receiver, who was designated to return to practice on Wednesday, began the regular season on injured reserve and will now miss the first six games of the campaign due to a quad strain.
Head coach Dave Canales spoke about Coker’s progress on Friday.
“He looked great,” Canales told reporters after yesterday’s session. “I think we’re still gonna have to make a game-time decision on that one. But he just took a little more each day, and he looked fast and he looked explosive. And we have to make the best decision and combination of guys to help us this week.”
Coker participated in full throughout the week and was initially listed as questionable for the contest on Friday.
