Love Island’s Scott’s family admit they are ‘holding out’ for his romance with Leanne amid love triangle
LOVE Island’s Scott van-der-Sluis’ family have said that Leanne Amaning is a better match for him than Sher Suarez.
Scott, who has been in a solid partnership with Leanne on the ITV2 show – was stolen by USA bombshell Sher Suarez in their escalating love triangle.

The footballer admitted that he admires Sher’s bold move and was open to getting to know her – saying he’s also a “risk taker”.
But his sister Steph, who is currently looking after his social media page, said she is still “holding out” for his romance with Leanne.
In an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked: “What is going on with Leanne? Honest opinion, I still ship.”
Steph explained what she thinks went wrong for the pair – putting it down to Scott and Leanne fearing it was “too good to be true”.

She said: “I think with Leanne, I can honestly say I have not seen him like this.
“When he came back from the US villa and she said she wanted a test and appeared unsure this threw him off guard and he questioned everything.
“This is no way me blaming Leanne as it’s no secret I absolutely love her.
“I think the thought of them scares both of them.
“I see Leanne thinking she wants a test, then you can clearly see she doesn’t want this and really likes him.
“I truly believe he didn’t want this either.”
Steph insisted that she wants Leanne and Scott to iron their issues out and to stop being so “stubborn”.
“If I’m honest, I want to go in and bang their heads together,” she said.
“Like Shaq and Jess said, they were inseparable, always together prior to villa USA.
“I think it was a case of feeling too good to be true.
“It was smooth sailing and they both started to question everything and now it has got a bit messy as they are both stubbon.
“I’m still holding out.”
After coming of the villa, dumped islander Shaq said Scott and Leanne were attached at the hip and “in their own bubble”.
He said: “They’d be on their own, just the two of them for hours. Just talking, vibing, chilling.”
Steph defended her younger brother over the way he’s gone about his connection with Sher – but hinted that it doesn’t compare to his and Leanne’s.
She said: “He chose to kiss Leanne, he refused the secret garden and it’s purely chats and the famous matcha.
“But I’m also a girl and ship Leanne and I can’t say I would not want to show my guy what he’s missing, by making moves.
“I’ve said it before, they are both stubborn, so I hold out hope but who knows.
“Cher is beautiful and they get on well, but can it compare to him and Leanne???”
MESSY TRIANGLE
Scott’s growing connection with Sher has ruffled Leanne’s feathers.
Leanne was heard furiously whispering “she’s a snake” while standing around the firepit as Sher made her decision.
After Sher’s decision, Leanne and Scott headed to the sofas for a debrief.
She replied: “Like complete and utter s**t but this is what happens when you’re open.”
He replied: “I’m not wrong for being open,” and she said: “You’re not wrong but this is what happens”.
She then suggested he had given Sher the “green light” to choose him after their “great conversations”.
Leanne said she refused to be in a love triangle then told him: “You’ve had ample time to get to know me, clearly there’s something wrong.”
He responded: “There isn’t anything f**king wrong.
“We are on f**king Love Island Leanne. Love Island.”
Later in the week, fans saw Leanne pie Scott in the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge – which appeared to hurt his feelings.
Scott decided to kiss Leanne and marry Sher.
He later told Leanne that she was still his main priority but Leanne said she was upset that he had ‘married’ Sher and given her a better speech.
