Former Celebrity Big Brother winner Stephen Bear has pleaded guilty to five offences relating to breaches of the sex offenders register. The reality TV star appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, where he admitted to failing to comply with the notification requirements imposed following his 2023 conviction for voyeurism and sharing private sexual content without consent.
Bear, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 and also appeared on Ex on the Beach and Shipwrecked, admitted to failing to notify police about a trip to Brazil in January 2025. He also pleaded guilty to failing to tell officers he had returned to the UK within the required three-day period in April 2026.
In addition, Bear admitted failing to inform police he had obtained a replacement passport while abroad, as well as acquiring two new bank cards without notifying the authorities, as required under the conditions of the sex offenders register.

The notification requirements were imposed after Bear was convicted of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress involving his former partner, Georgia Harrison.
He was sentenced to 21 months in prison in 2023 and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years. He was released after serving half of his sentence.
During today’s hearing, according to The Sun, Bear’s defence told the court that he had not realised he needed to notify police within the relevant timeframe upon returning from Brazil.
His solicitor also claimed that Bear had needed to apply for replacement bank cards after his account was blocked while he was overseas and later obtained a new passport after losing his travel documents.
The latest offences are unrelated to another ongoing legal matter. Bear is due to appear before Chelmsford Crown Court over a separate case concerning an alleged breach of a restraining order, with sentencing due to take place tomorrow (6 August).

Following the hearing, Bear thanked the magistrates before leaving the dock. He is expected to return to Thames Magistrates’ Court on August 14.
Bear’s career on the small screen came to an abrupt end following his criminal conviction, with the former reality star remaining out of the TV spotlight in recent years.
