North East Comedy forum to host TV Burp star Harry Hill

The former TV Burp star Harry Hill is set to headline a show at a North East venue.
The Comedy Forum returns to the Forum Theatre in Billingham on Friday, April 17, 2026, with anappearance from the veteran comedian.
Hill has been a fixture in British comedy for nearly 30 years.
He first found success with early BBC and Channel 4 series before reaching wider audiences through the award-winning Harry Hill’s TV Burp.

Hill has also fronted Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule and Harry Hill’s World of TV, and served as the voice of You’ve Been Framed.
He currently hosts Junior Bake Off on Channel 4.
The night will also feature rising comedy talent Oliver Bowler.
Joining the bill is Ignacio Lopez, a comedian described as “Spain’s Best Export” by the Spanish Embassy and Office of Culture in the UK.
Mr Lopez has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, and Comedy Central Live.

Hosting the evening is Sunderland’s Matt Reed.
A spokesman for the theatre said: “Following the roaring success of The Comedy Forum’s launch event at Forum Theatre Billingham featuring the uncompromising wit of Frankie Boyle, The Comedy Forum returns with another powerhouse line-up — this time headlined by the legendary Harry Hill.”
