San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle suffered an apparent injury in the second quarter of his team’s wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The injury occurred after Kittle caught a 5-yard pass from Brock Purdy on the right sideline. The veteran tight end tried to push off on his right leg as Eagles safety Marcus Epps approached to make the tackle and immediately grabbed at his leg after being dragged to the ground.

Kittle remained down after the play, and the 49ers’ medical staff came onto the field to tend to him. He was loaded onto the cart due to the injury and immediately taken back to the locker room.

The 49ers didn’t immediately provide an update on Kittle’s injury.
