The Avalanche lost 3-2 to the San Jose Sharks in overtime at SAP Center at San Jose on Saturday. Martin Necas and Nathan MacKinnon scored for Colorado while Artturi Lehkonen posted the 300th point of his NHL career.
Taylor Makar made his NHL debut for the Avalanche, making he and Cale Makar the first set of brothers to suit up in the same game for the Avalanche/Nordiques franchise since Anton and Peter Stastny on April 2, 1989.
