Panthers upset the Packers on the road

But this was Lambeau Field. This was different.

And so are these Panthers.

The Packers entered the game as a significant favorite, which made sense because they had the NFC’s best record (5-2-1 now), and a top-10 offense and defense.

But the Panthers matched them throughout, with the kind of defensive bounceback after last week’s loss to Buffalo that was reminiscent of the job they did against the Falcons and the Jets. They held the Packers in the red zone, allowing one touchdown, but forcing a turnover, and a couple of field goals, the kind of big steps they needed.

Dave Canales talks about complementary football all the time, and this was it.
