Jaguars’ Cam Little Makes NFL History with Record 68-Yard FG in Video vs. Raiders

The Jacksonville Jaguars kicker hit a 68-yard field goal to close the first half against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, setting a new NFL record in the process. The Raiders took a 6-3 lead into the half.

Little broke the record formerly held by Justin Tucker (66 yards in 2021).

It doesn’t come as the biggest surprise that he set the new record—he booted a 70-yard field goal in August during a preseason matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While preseason records don’t count toward the record books, it was still a pretty incredible moment.

It was also a reminder that Little is more than capable of breaking his own NFL record.

The 22 year-old was fantastic in his rookie season last year, going 27-for-29 on field-goal attempts and hitting all 27 extra-point tries. He was 8-for-9 on efforts from 40-49 yards and and 5-for-6 from 50 yards and beyond.

He’s been a bit more inconsistent this year. Coming into Sunday he was 10-for-14 on field goals and 14-for-15 on extra points.

But against the Raiders, he proved how much of a weapon his foot can be. So long as the Jaguars get the ball to midfield, they have a legitimate shot at three points.
