9 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups: Deep Leagues (Week 11)

Doing your weekly waivers in fantasy football can be more stressful than performing life-saving surgery on a loved one without any professional tools or medical knowledge. While that might be a slight exaggeration, deciding which players to add off the waiver wire each week can be stressful.

Finding and adding the right guys in shallow leagues is simple, as there are plenty of appealing options, and the waiver wire is full of talent. Unfortunately, making your waiver wire claims in deeper leagues can be a massive pain in the neck.

However, I’m here to help by giving fantasy players nine waiver wire targets they should add in deeper leagues in Week 11.

Deep League Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets

All the players in this article are rostered in fewer than 25% of ESPN leagues.

Jacoby Brissett (QB – ARI): 17.4% Rostered

While the veteran has never been a fantasy star, Jacoby Brissett has been outstanding in his four starts this season, averaging 279.5 passing yards, two touchdowns and 21.2 fantasy points per game. He has totaled at least two scores and 19.4 fantasy points in every outing.

Brissett has been productive in games where Arizona was in negative game script for most of the contest and playing with a lead in others. More importantly, Brissett will likely be the Cardinals’ starting quarterback for the rest of the season with Kyler Murray on injured reserve (IR).

Marcus Mariota (QB – WSH): 11.5% Rostered

The Commanders will re-evaluate Jayden Daniels‘ elbow injury after their Week 13 bye. However, fantasy players shouldn’t bet on the superstar playing again this year with Washington having little to play for.

Meanwhile, Marcus Mariota has played well as the starter, averaging 197.3 passing yards, 1.5 touchdowns and 16.6 fantasy points per game. He has totaled 16.2+ points in all but the matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. More importantly, he has top-five upside in what should be a high-scoring matchup in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins in Spain.

Brian Robinson Jr. (RB – SF): 21.2% Rostered

Hopefully, Christian McCaffrey stays healthy, limiting the upside of Brian Robinson Jr. However, the former Alabama star has started to earn a small role, totaling 13 rushing attempts for 94 yards, two touchdowns and 22.8 PPR fantasy points over the past two weeks. He has scored a touchdown and at least 11.3 fantasy points in both games, averaging 7.2 yards per attempt.

More importantly, Robinson has recorded eight or more rushing attempts in two of the past four games, as the 49ers have cut back on McCaffrey’s workload to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Emari Demercado (RB -ARI): 18.5% Rostered

Reportedly, the Cardinals could get Trey Benson back from a knee injury this week, potentially crushing Emari Demercado’s fantasy value. However, the veteran could be a viable starting option for fantasy players in deeper leagues this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

Demercado has been Arizona’s top running back since the team’s Week 8 bye, averaging 11.1 PPR fantasy points per game and 7.9 yards per rushing attempt. More importantly, Demercado has averaged 10.8 fantasy points per game in the three contests with four or more touches, hitting that mark in back-to-back games.

Jayden Higgins (WR – HOU): 17.1% Rostered

Houston has needed someone to step up in the passing game alongside Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz this season. Jayden Higgins might be that guy. The rookie had played well lately after a slow start, averaging 3.3 receptions on 5.3 targets for 26.7 receiving yards and 10 PPR fantasy points per game over the past three weeks.

Furthermore, Higgins has scored a touchdown and at least 13.4 fantasy points in the two games with more than five targets this season. The Texans have an upcoming schedule full of fantasy-friendly matchups.

Adonai Mitchell (WR – NYJ): 1.3% Rostered

When the Jets traded Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts last week, Adonai Mitchell was hardly mentioned in the reports. However, the former Texas star could be a sneaky Flex option in deeper leagues.

Mitchell didn’t play on Sunday, as he is still learning the playbook. New York could have used him after Garrett Wilson suffered a knee injury against the Cleveland Browns. Even if the superstar doesn’t miss significant time, Mitchell could quickly become the team’s No. 2 wide receiver. He’s worth stashing in deeper leagues.

Mack Hollins (WR – NE): 0.6% Rostered

The Patriots’ offense has been outstanding this year. In Week 10, three wide receivers scored over 14 PPR fantasy points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, despite TreVeyon Henderson having 147 rushing yards and 28 fantasy points.

One of those wide receivers was Mack Hollins, who led the receiving corps in receptions (six), targets (10), receiving yards (106) and fantasy points (16.6). He has arguably been Drake Maye‘s most reliable target lately, totaling at least six receptions, seven targets, 89 receiving yards and 15.9 fantasy points in two of the past three games.

Darren Waller (TE – MIA): 20.9% Rostered

Fantasy players in deeper leagues who are streaming tight ends should stash Darren Waller despite his pectoral injury. Unfortunately, the soonest the veteran can return from IR is Week 13.

Before getting hurt, Waller was playing well, averaging 3.3 receptions for 39 receiving yards, 1.3 touchdowns and 15.2 PPR fantasy points per game in his three healthy contests. He totaled at least one score and 9.2 fantasy points in every outing. More importantly, Waller has an excellent fantasy playoff schedule with matchups against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tyler Conklin (TE – LAC): 0.1% Rostered

Unfortunately, Oronde Gadsden II left Sunday night’s matchup with a knee injury and didn’t return. If the rookie misses time, Tyler Conklin is the next man up at tight end.

While the veteran has had no fantasy impact this season, he is an appealing streaming option or bye-week replacement if Gadsden can’t play. The Chargers face the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have surrendered 8.4 receptions for 90.8 receiving yards, 1.2 touchdowns and 24.7 PPR fantasy points per game to tight ends over their past five outings.
