Actress Sally Dexter made a shock return to the soap as Faith Dingle
But in a special flashback episode that took place over the last six years, actress Sally Dexter reprised her beloved role in a one off appearance.
In today’s episode, a special dedicated to Robert Sugden’s years in prison, there was a shock when Faith appeared.
She had visited him shortly before her death in 2022, begging him to see sense and kick start his appeals process so he could help Aaron through his trauma.
At that time Aaron was struggling to cope after the murder of his boyfriend Ben and the death of his sister Liv.

He fled the village for a new life in Europe where he became embroiled with gangsters and plunged into a dark underworld.
Faith visited Robert in prison and offered a deal – she wouldn’t tell everyone that he was back in a local prison if he agreed to try and get an appeal.
Robert agreed but it didn’t take long for his prison husband Kev to put the kibosh on that.
He manipulated events so Robert was left wanting to remain in prison and spending his remaining sentence there.
There are other bombshells in the episode but it was Faith’s return that has delighted fans.
