The Euphoria and White Lotus star politely declined advances from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal players.
But according to Instagram account DNA da Bomba, romance may have blossomed between USA star Pulisic and Sweeney.
The highly-improbable sounding report has even been picked up by Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy, where Pulisic plays for AC Milan.
Sweeney began dating producer Jonathan Davino in 2018, with the pair getting engaged four years later.

Earlier this year they split, however, ending their engagement.
Pulisic, meanwhile, has been dating golfer Alexa Melton.
The winger, 27, was first linked with former college athlete Melton in the summer of 2024.
The couple have since appeared on each other’s Instagram feeds.

Sweeney, meanwhile, has been dating casually in America since her split from Davino.
A source told The Sun in the summer: “Her Instagram DMs are packed with messages from famous men trying to get in contact with her.
“It’s mostly guys playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.
“They offer her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date, but she’s not the kind of person who does that.
“Some of them are very insistent and have even tried to find her address to send her flowers, but she always refuses.
“I’d say more than 100 people, from celebs to millionaires or very rich people from the Middle East and Asia, contact her every month.”
Sweeney’s friends have even joked that she is the “most wanted woman in America since Madonna“.
The actress has been busy this year, starring in Christy, released last month, and The Housemaid, out on December 22.
The long-awaited season three of Euphoria is set to drop in April.
While she will also be in The Devil Wears Prada 2 – out next May.
