Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are reportedly still dating, despite wicked reports to the contrary. “Ariana and Ethan are still a couple but they’ve seen the chatter online and it’s not been easy,” one source told the Sun on November 11. Despite standing separately during the photo ops at the November 10 London premiere of Wicked: For Good, “multiple witnesses” saw them holding hands, per TMZ, and sources said that the relationship is “great.” The Sun added that the distance was intentional. “Obviously it fuels the speculation around them but they don’t want their relationship to play out in public,” a source said. “When Ariana left the after-party, she went back to her hotel suite. Not long after, Ethan was taken there and went up to see Ariana to spend time with her.” The source added, “They are aware of what is being said and it’s not easy for them but they’re doing the best they can to snatch some quiet moments when no one is watching.”
Tabloids like the Daily Mail fueled weeks of online speculation about the couple, who met amid simultaneous breakups of their own on the set of the Wicked movies. Wicked: For Good is out November 21; then we’ll know more about whether it’s over, a PR stunt, or for good.
