Major store chain cuts paid holidays including Christmas, Thanksgiving for hourly workers

UNDATED (WKRC/CNN Newsource) – Walgreens said hourly employees will no longer receive paid vacation time for six major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The decision follows the pharmacy chain’s recent acquisition by Sycamore Partners. Last month, Walgreens said it planned to lay off about 80 corporate employees.
