Rachaad White Fantasy Outlook
White has maintained his starting role and lead-back status since Bucky Irving’s injury, consistently out-snapping Tucker in every game by substantial margins. The volume has remained steady, but the results have cratered after a promising start.
White posted 23.1 and 17.6 fantasy points in his first two games as the newly anointed starter before falling off a cliff. The veteran back hasn’t exceeded 10.4 fantasy points in any contest since that initial two-game stretch.
The primary culprit is his ineffectiveness as a runner, which becomes glaringly obvious when analyzing his work between the tackles. White happened to score three times across those first two games but hasn’t found the end zone since.

Last week, White delivered his most efficient rushing performance since Week 2, carrying the ball 10 times for 51 yards. The respectable yardage came against the Bills’ porous run defense, which ranks among the league’s worst units against the ground game. Even in that favorable matchup, White was thoroughly outproduced by the vastly more talented Tucker.
The one area where White maintains superiority is the passing game. His pass-catching ability keeps him on the field during obvious throwing situations and provides a safer floor in PPR formats. This receiving role becomes his lifeline for fantasy relevance, especially in negative game scripts where Tampa Bay abandons the run.
Sean Tucker Fantasy Outlook
Tucker erupted for his best performance of the season, running the ball 19 times for 106 yards and adding two rushing touchdowns. He then added 34 receiving yards and a third touchdown through the air, showcasing the all-around skill set that makes him a superior talent to White. Tucker racked up 140 total scrimmage yards in the contest.
The explosive back hit 21.09 mph on a 43-yard scoring run, marking the fastest scoring play of Week 11 according to NFL Next Gen Stats. This type of game-breaking speed represents exactly what Tampa Bay’s offense has lacked when relying exclusively on White. Tucker has demonstrated far superior vision and explosiveness when given opportunities.

Despite the dominant statistical output, Tucker still only played 44% of the snaps. That figure represented a season-high workload that undoubtedly earned him more touches moving forward. It’s remarkable that the Bucs took this long to give Tucker expanded opportunities given how much better he is as a runner.
The timing of Tucker’s breakout couldn’t be more critical for his fantasy outlook. Rick Stroud reported that Irving may very well return in Week 13, making this Tucker’s final audition to prove he deserves the change-of-pace role behind Irving. Irving will likely be eased into action upon his return, potentially keeping Tucker relevant even after the starter comes back.
Should You Start White or Tucker This Week?
Los Angeles presents a nightmare matchup for both Tampa Bay running backs. The Rams defense allows the fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to running backs, ranking as the NFL’s stingiest unit against the position. Playing against Los Angeles represents a significantly negative matchup for opposing backfields relative to the league average.
The game environment projects as entertaining despite the defensive mismatch. Both teams feature explosive offenses capable of generating big plays, with the total set at 49.5 points suggesting a high-scoring affair.
Tucker likely has secured the goal-line role. This access to scoring opportunities provides touchdown upside that could salvage his fantasy day even if yardage production suffers. However, managers shouldn’t expect a repeat of last week’s three-touchdown explosion against a far superior defense.
White remains startable because of his receiving role and superior snap count, but the lack of touchdown upside severely caps his ceiling. He functions as an uninspiring RB3 whose floor comes entirely from volume and passing-game involvement. Tucker offers more boom potential but carries significant bust risk if the Rams dominate time of possession and limit Tampa Bay’s offensive opportunities.
