Latin music artist DELAROSA killed in Los Angeles ambush-style shooting

(TNND) — Tragically, 22-year-old Latin music artist DELAROSA, born Maria De La Rosa, was shot dead in Los Angeles in what authorities describe as an “ambushstyle” attack.
The incident
The shooting took place around 1:25 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles (Bryant Street, east of Tampa Avenue), according to ABC7.
Witnesses reported two male suspects who approached a parked vehicle and opened fire, striking three people inside.
Maria was one of the victims and was rushed to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The two others in the car are in critical condition, according to TMZ.
The motive remains unknown, and no arrests have yet been made.
Who she was
DELAROSA had begun making waves as a rising Latin-music talent. She released her single “No Me Llames” (“Don’t Call Me”) in August 2025.
On her Instagram, where she had over 40,000 followers, in one of her latest posts (Oct 30) it showed her in a studio with an electric guitar, captioned in Spanish: “Ocupada cocinando en el Stu Ya es tiempo” (“Busy cooking in the studio It’s about time”).
Industry voices and fans responded with shock and grief: “Me duele que haya sido con violencia,” wrote producer Times J Martinez, “It hurts that it happened with violence.”
What happens now
Law enforcement’s investigation is ongoing. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division, Valley Bureau, is asking anyone with information to call (818) 374-9550 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers.
With no known motive yet, the concept of a gang-related shooting is being considered by investigators, according to NBC Los Angeles.
The music community continues to memorialize her potential and mourn the loss of someone just embarking on her career.
