UK weather: Met Office amber warning in force for heavy rain and flooding

Nearby Afon Colywan has seen 98.2mm (3.9in) and Tyn Y Waun Treherbert in Bridgend, Wales, registered rainfall of 87.8mm (3.5in) in the same period.
Poor weather has affected some train services, including on the ScotRail route between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock and Carlisle, where disruption is expected until 09:00 on Tuesday.
In Wales, rail replacement buses are running after train services were suspended on the Conwy Valley and Heart of Wales line, including between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Swansea and Shrewsbury.
