Devin Booker on being surrounded by young players on Suns
Devin Booker, once a young phenom, is now a veteran surrounded by young players: “It’s a lot of jokes.”
LOS ANGELES – Phoenix Suns star guard Booker is out for the remainder of their Monday, Dec. 1 game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a right groin injury.
He checked out of the game with 2:05 left in the first quarter and didn’t return in the first half.
Booker posted 11 points in the first quarter on 4-of-7 shooting, three assists and two rebounds. His 3-pointer gave the franchise’s all-time leading scorer 17,000 points.
The Suns lead, 66-52, at halftime after trailing by six.
The Suns have had their share of injuries this season, as Jalen Green has only played two games this season with a right hamstring strain.
