Ocean Spray investigating videos from Thanksgiving of cranberry sauce cans full of water

Ocean Spray is investigating reports of its cranberry sauce cans being filled with water this Thanksgiving.

“We’re aware of a few reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce, and we’re looking into how this may have happened,” Ocean Spray told NBC News on Monday.

A viral TikTok video shows three Ocean Spray cranberry sauce cans — one of which was opened on camera — full of water instead of cranberry sauce.

The video was posted Friday and has garnered nearly 10 million views.

A separate Facebook video posted Friday shows a person opening an Ocean Spray cranberry sauce can on Thanksgiving to find only water inside.

The caption said: “This was my ocean spray cranberry sauce yesterday… 4 cans…who else had this happen?”

“Millions of families enjoyed their cranberry sauce this holiday season, but even one can of sauce not meeting expectations matters to us,” Ocean Spray said. “We’ve reached out to the folks who shared these videos to learn more and make it right.”
