6-year-old student hit and killed by school bus in front of other children, police say

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOCO) – A child is dead after being struck by a school bus in Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

It happened near a school.

Police said the 6-year-old was standing with two other children at the time. The 6-year-old then ran in front of the bus, according to investigators.

The 6-year-old was taken to the hospital, where the child died of injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
