Pamela Anderson is finally explaining those Liam Neeson romance rumors.

The 58-year-old actress and 73-year-old actor were first publicly linked in July at the premiere of their film The Naked Gun. In late August, TMZ published a piece suggesting it was a publicity stunt.

Now, she’s speaking out.

“If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming,” Pamela explained to People.

She said they had an “intimate week” at his house in New York State, where she her her own bedroom. She added, “Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.”

After their time together, “we went our separate ways to work on other films.”

Then, they got a chance to reconnect at the premiere.

She continued, “We were having fun…a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film. I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.’”

“I adore Liam but we are better friends, in full honesty,” she added.

They last connected over the summer, in August, when he came to see her perform in a play at the Williamstown Theater Festival: “He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me. I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives.”
