‘Jeopardy!’ champion charged with secret peeping allegedly put cameras in bathroom

A two-day “Jeopardy” champion has been arrested on felony charges.
According to WNCN-TV in Raleigh, Philip Joseph “Joey” DeSena, 42, was charged in Currituck County with two counts of felony secret peeping.
He is accused of installing cameras in a victim’s bedroom and bathroom on Oct. 10, according to a warrant filed by the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office.
DeSena received $46,698 in winnings from the iconic game show. He was defeated in his third game, but returned on Jan. 16 for the Champions Wildcard tournament, competing for a spot in the 2025 Tournament of Champions.
DeSena made it to the semi-finals but was ultimately defeated by fan favorite Drew Goins and Jen Feldman, according to TVInsider.
He also ran the YouTube channel ClanOfTheGrayWolf under the name “Roo” from 2009 to 2015 where he would discuss topics related to retro gaming.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, according to the TV station.
