Deadpool Finally Joins Marvel Rivals In 2026, Probably Without Permission

Marvel Rivals had a busy 2025 with the addition of several fan-favorite characters to its roster and regular seasonal updates, but come 2026, players can look forward to the regeneratin’ degenerate Deadpool joining the game. At The Game Awards, developer NetEase debuted a new trailer featuring the popular Marvel Comics antihero in action.
Deadpool is joining the Rivals roster as the first character of Season 6, which kicks off on January 16, 2026. While the trailer doesn’t explicitly confirm it, Deadpool certainly looks to be another new Duelist, wielding his iconic dual pistols and katanas as he battles against Werewolf Captain America and other monstrous heroes, while riding a Deadpool T-Rex.
Marvel Rivals Season 6: Night at the Museum arrives January 16th, 2026 UTC.
And yes – Deadpool is coming. Soon.
But first, the countdown continues: S5.5 launches on December 12th UTC.

Season 6 is called Night at the Museum, so it seems like a Museum map featuring some of the odder Marvel characters is in store. The trailer also concludes with a quick tease of the second new hero coming in Season, Elsa Bloodstone. A deeper cut than Deadpool, Elsa Bloodstone is a monster hunter in the Marvel universe, and seems primed to be another Duelist hero.
Deadpool’s imminent arrival in Marvel Rivals hasn’t exactly been a well-kept secret, as data-mining from earlier this year indicated that he’d be popping up eventually alongside Nextwave: Agent of HATE operative Elsa Bloodstone. Marvel Rivals Season 5 added X-Men’s Gambit and Rogue to the game, while earlier updates throughout the year saw Daredevil spring into action and the debut of a dedicated PvE mode.
Outside of Marvel Rivals, Deadpool starred in his own self-titled VR game for Meta Quest VR headsets, and so far, it has been pretty well received amongst critics and fans.
