GTA 6 Rumors Swirl About New Trailer Dropping at The Game Awards

Will the most anticipated video game of all time, Grand Theft Auto VI, have a new trailer drop at The Video Game Awards Thursday in Los Angeles?

While a slew of fans across the world are anticipating possible news — any news — on the game that was supposed to release earlier this year but was delayed, there is hope that Rockstar might give the fans something to look forward to on a night that is all about surprises in the video game world.

First formally revealed in December 2023, the game has been on every gamer’s list since it was officially announced. The first trailer of the game saw it smash all records for anything non-music on YouTube, with over 40 million people from around the world getting a glimpse at the game fans have been anticipating for a decade.

The game’s initial release was supposed to be in the fall of this year, but was delayed to late 2025. It was then pushed off into a May date for 2026, before it was ultimately delayed again last month to its current date of Nov. 19, 2026.

More news: What New Games Will Be Revealed at The Game Awards?

A year away from releasing on a night promised to have surprises across the gaming sphere, fans will be tuning in to see if there is any new information about the game that was supposed to launch a month ago.

Current rumors and reports across the media landscape don’t expect Rockstar to announce or premiere anything related to their kingpin game on Thursday, as they would rather build their own content timeline independently, without paying the rumored $1 million fee for a trailer on the show.

GTA6 fans, however, will still be tuning in to see if the reports are wrong and Rockstar drops the biggest surprise bombshell to end the 2025 year in video games.
