A POPULAR B&M Christmas mug has been urgently recalled over a dangerous health risk with shoppers urged to stop using it immediately.
A product recall notice has been issued for the budget retailer’s Cream and Green Mug as it poses a risk of burns.

According to the notice, the base of the item may crack and break when filled with a hot liquid.
It is described as a cream mug with a green fir tree print and any customers are urged to “stop using the product immediately”.
Affected products were put on sale in stores between August 23 and November 14 this year.

B&M issued an urgent customer notice for the mug and advised any customers who purchased the item to return it to the store.
A spokesperson said: “Any customer who has purchased the product is advised to retain the packaging and return the product to a B&M store where you will receive a full refund.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
A notice published by the Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) said the product did not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
