The Tigers have agreed to a one-year contract with veteran closer Kenley Jansen, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports. The Athletic’s Cody Stavenhagen adds that the Tigers also hold a club option on Jansen’s services for the 2027 season. Detroit was first linked to Kenley Jansen’s market earlier this week, and MassLive.com’s Chris Cotillo reported earlier this afternoon that the two sides were “deep in talks” and heading towards the final stages of a deal. Jansen is represented by the Wasserman Agency.
