Report: 49ers McCaffrey questionable but likely ‘good to go’ vs. Titans

San Francisco’s biggest star is questionable for Sunday.
49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (back) has been added to the injury report as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, but is expected to play, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday.
McCaffrey was limited in practice throughout the week with an illness, but the new back issue is the reason for doubt on Sunday. Schefter reports that despite the injury, McCaffrey should be “good to go”.
The 29-year-old three-time Pro Bowler has not missed a game this season, rushing for 849 yards, along with 806 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns. He is a strong candidate for NFL Offensive Player of the Year, an award he won in 2023.
McCaffrey missed significant time last season, only playing four games for San Francisco.
The 49ers (9-4) are third in the NFC West, but can still make a run for the division, only trailing the Seattle Seahawks (10-3) and Los Angeles Rams (10-3) by one game.
The Titans, meanwhile, are 2-11 heading to Santa Clara, last in the AFC South.
