Popular HGTV star Frank Cozzolino dead at 56 after ‘sudden’ health complications

Popular HGTV star and electrician, Frank Cozzolino, known for his work on “Holmes on Homes” and “Holmes Family Rescue,” has died at the age of 56.

An obituary for Cozzolino confirms that he passed on Dec. 4 and is survived by his partner, Lisa, and their two daughters, Filomena and Alexandria.

Filomena posted on Instagram that her father passed after getting lymphoma following health complications from a liver transplant in July. The surgery was prompted because Frank’s liver disease returned, as he previously overcame the diagnosis with an organ donation in 2017.

“Daddy, you put up one hell of a fight,” Filomena said. “You are the strongest person I know, and I am grateful for the years we got to spend together on Earth. Now your battle is over and you can rest. We’ll all see you again.”

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Frank’s co-star, Mike Holmes, paid tribute to the his friend saying, “Frank will forever be part of the Holmes family.”

“I am devastated by the passing of my good friend Frank Cozzolino,” Holmes said. “Frank made us better. His impact will live on in every home he helped. Frank could walk into the toughest electrical disaster, crack a joke in his style, and suddenly the whole room felt lighter. That’s just who he was.”

Cozzolino’s obituary says that after trying multiple careers he became an electrician and founded Solutions Electrical.

The business is said to be a “testament to his hard work and perseverance.”
