Watch Jeffery Simmons’ 2nd touchdown catch of his career

Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons is back in the end zone.

Simmons caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Cam Ward early in the fourth quarter of the Titans’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 14 at Levi’s Stadium.

Simmons’ efforts on the other side of the ball helped Tennessee get the ball in scoring range. The 2019 first-round pick sacked Brock Purdy and forced a fumble in 49ers territory to give the Titans the football.

After a long Van Jefferson reception, the stage was set for Simmons to cut into the 49ers’ 31-10 lead.

Incidentally, Simmons’ other touchdown catch came in another game in which the Titans were down by a large margin, in 2023 at Jacksonville.

But don’t fault the Titans’ defensive star for the margin against the 49ers. Simmons has six tackles and a TFL to go along with the sack and fumble forced.
