Virginia sees 81,000 winners; One ticket nets $1 million as powerball jackpot hits $1.1B

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Several Virginia ticket holders scored prizes Saturday night, including one who won $1 million.

That ticket matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball. The winning numbers were 1, 28, 31, 57, 58, and the Powerball was 16.

The million-dollar ticket was sold at Express Food Mart, 4713 Backlick Road in Annandale.

The next Powerball drawing is Monday, December 15, with an estimated jackpot of $1.1 billion. A single ticket that matches all six numbers can choose between the advertised annuity paid over 30 years or a one-time cash option of about $503.4 million (before taxes).
