Several Midstate school districts announce delayed starts for Monday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Several school districts across the Midstate are delaying their start time on Monday.

A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Sunday into Monday morning due to bitterly cold temperatures moving through the region.

Overnight lows on Monday morning will drop to the teens, and some locations will be in the single digits. Temperatures should rebound Monday afternoon to the low 40s, finally above freezing.

  • Houston County Schools

  • Van Buren County Schools
  • Warren County Schools

Remember to dress in layers if you have to be outdoors, and try to limit your time outside if possible.
