2nd murder in days at RTA rapid station

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A second person has been murdered at a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) rapid station.
The latest homicide happened on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Puritas-W. 150th Rapid Station in the 4200 block of W. 150th St.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Benjamin McComas, 27, of Avon Lake. McComas was shot at the rapid station.
GCRTA spokesperson Robert Fleig said the investigation is ongoing.
On Thursday, Dec. 11, a 17-year-old boy died after being stabbed at the Superior Road Station in the 13100 block of Superior Ave. in East Cleveland.

The attack happened around 1 p.m. Thursday.
Fleig said the victim, Jamir Peak, of Cleveland, was in an argument with a 56-year-old woman before being stabbed.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was arrested and transported to the Cuyahoga County Jail.
