Steve Evans: Bristol Rovers appoint ex-Leeds United and Rotherham boss as manager

Bristol Rovers have appointed Steve Evans as their new manager in an attempt to reverse their recent struggles.
The League Two outfit sacked Darrell Clarke after Saturday’s 3-0 home loss to Swindon made it 10 straight league defeats and dropped them into the relegation zone.
Evans, 63, has been out of work since March when he was sacked by Rotherham.
Since then, the Scot has spoken extensively about the fitness drive he has been on, shedding seven stone (44.4kg) in weight as a result.
The former Leeds United boss, who has also managed Mansfield Town, Peterborough United, Gillingham and Stevenage among other clubs, returns to the dugout with his first match in charge away to Crewe Alexandra on Friday (19:45 GMT).
