Over 16,000 customers without power in Seattle

More than 16,000 customers are without power in Seattle.

As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, there are 16,146 customers without power in North Seattle, as shown on Seattle City Light’s outage map.

Crews are investigating the cause of the power outage, but high winds are expected throughout the day.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a wind advisory for western Washington from 4 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result,” NWS stated.
