A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Winnipeg’s North End.
Hugh Keith Switzer, 32, was charged with second-degree murder Monday in the death of Caleb Joshua Johnston, 37, a Winnipeg police news release said Wednesday.
Police were called to a home on Arlington Street, near the CPR railway yards north of the Arlington Bridge, after reports of a disturbance on Friday.
Officers arrived to find a man dead from a shooting. On Wednesday, police confirmed Johnston was the victim.
In addition to second-degree murder, Switzer is charged with three firearm and weapon possession offences and two counts of possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted gun, the news release said.
He remains in custody.
